Further to our earlier post on Facebook, it has become clear that we can remain open for essential goods. We don’t however feel that we can maintain safe distances at all times with the shop layout we have, so we are going to keep the shop closed until we are advised otherwise.
This puts us in a bit of a dilemma, how do we get essentials to our customers without making them leave their homes?
To address this our Website has been modified so that it will accept PayPal transactions with a button for home delivery. It will only work with CW10 addresses so that we are able to deliver the same day when possible.
For customers without access to the internet we will man the telephone with the credit card machine from 10am until 1pm this will give us time to deliver the same day. All orders received after 1:00pm will be delivered on the next operational day.
There is no delivery charge for all sales over £20.00 under this we have applied a small amount of £3.00 to cover a proportion of our costs.
Due to limited staff we will operate this service on the operational days Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
We will begin this service on Friday 27th March.
Update 29th March 2020
We have had a fantastic response to our delivery service, thankyou for all your support. So far the system is working well.
As detailed above we are operating the phones between 10am to 1pm if you could just phone between these times please as we need time to process your orders and plan our route.
This situation may change in the future if we have more staff.
Our main supplier is still operating so we should still be able to get new stock in the most part.
Once again thank you all for your support and your efforts to stay home and protect our NHS.
